COURT A
Jay Craven Memorial Boys Bracket Consolation Game – Ocean City 60,
Philadelphia Electric 48: Ocean City got a tournament-record free-throw shooting
performance from Tommy Ballezzi and placed four
players in double figures in winning the bracket consolation game. Ballezzi, who finished with 12 points, broke an
eight-year-old Boardwalk Classic record by making 10 free throws without a
miss. The previous record was first set by North Catholic’s Mike Cram in 2000
and matched by Wildwood Catholic’s Andrew Morrison and Archbishop Wood’s Mike Spadafora in 2001. Tyler Reich posted 17 points and 11
rebounds, Chris Curran registered 15 points and Matt Bosch chipped in 10 points
for the Raiders (2-1). Carrington Ward came off the bench to score 15 points
and Devante Chance added 11 points for Philly
Electric (2-4), which cut a 21-point deficit to nine points early in the fourth
quarter but could get no closer.
